So, a bit of a different post here... I've been walking around for the past 3 days with a very noticeable black eye. It happens to be the result of play time with my kids, and my beautiful miss 4 accidentally head butted me right in the eye socket. It's a lovely shade of blue/purple/red today. I've been getting those pitying looks from strangers in the shops, and arrived at work to everyone asking "what have you done to yourself? " It was nice to know that most of my work colleagues didn't jump straight to DV, but clearly a few strangers did. So I want to know, when have your kids hurt you so that it's noticeable to everyone? Or had accidents that people don't necessarily believe were accidents? I can't be the only one who has copped an accidental black eye!

I've had black eyes from my kid, and from a carpentry accident! Lucky for me I was single lol
I was winding down a large patio umbrella in bad weather when the handle came out a whacked me in the eye (10 years later still have a scar)
I owned the shop and the next few days I had very concerned customers seaching for a boyfriend that didn't exist ( lucky I was single)
The small town was taking no prisoners
Lol I can totally relate!!
A few years ago I got a black eye playing squash with my then new partner and the ball hit me from my own serve
No one believed us to the point of a work mate leaving dv brochures on my desk.
We had a laugh because we knew the truth but was still a little bit uncomfortable with everyone suspecting him
I also currently have a busted knee and am waiting for surgury.
This is from dancing to wiggles with my 4 yr old on top of a table and having a ball until he slipped, bumped me and I fell off the edge.
Accidents happen all the time with kids :-)
Just unfortunate yours is a black eye but good on you for having fun with your kids!!!
Lol, she thought it was hilarious! Hasn't stopped me playing with them! I've had many bumps and bruises, just never something so noticeable...
Yep black eye from two year old and hard book accident, right before starting a prac - working with children.
I currently have a VERY badly bruised leg and arm from tripping up on a bed on wheels (trundle) when i was carrying my son to bed. I was coming down, his head first, so i quickly flung myself around so i landed on my side instead. Crashed SO hard into the door and side of bed. But yes, i look like I've been beaten black and blue! My son didn't get a scratch thank god.
Many years ago I had a car accident on my husband's birthday. We had arranged to go out for dinner with friends that night and decided still to go, We all arrived at the restaurant - me with a neck brace and black eye and my girlfriend with her arm in a sling (she had been hurt at school that day - teacher). The looks our two husbands got! We just had to laugh about it, what else can you do? :)
I've also broken an arm roller skating with my kids :)
My sister smashed me in the head with a cabbage patch doll, same as yours she got me right in the eye.
Yep, my toddler headbutt me square on the bridge of my nose - result was discolouration on both sides of my face just below my eyes. I also now have a slightly bent nose. Oh well :p
I once put a long zip tie around my neck which gave me massive burn marks, I was a kid and clearly not a bright one lol,.. I do wonder what people thought of my parents when out in public with me lol
