lonely single mum

Hi where to start. I am a 47 y single mum of 4 beautiful kids. I have mr 12 and miss 11 at home. The other 2 are 25 and 27. I have been on my own for approximately 7 years I came from very violent both physically and mentally relationship. I turned to alcohol as my coping mechanism. I have now been dry for about 2 years. I've done the counseling and separated from my friends where fellow drinkers. Of course having an alcohol problem I cannot maintain those friendships. So there is a bit of background. I guess my question is where do you find support groups for single parents. I am obviously not looking in the right places. I want to find friends. But all I can find are online forums and singles dating site. I am not ready to date. I have same routine as most work kids home. I just want to meet people similar age and similar situation. Where do look or go? Im tired of being lonely.
