Holiday to Queensland

Hey IM's. I'm wanting to travel to QLD for a holiday but I'm not sure where.
Not Brisbane as I didn't like it the last few times I traveled there.

Is Noosa a good area? Can anyone suggest any areas that are wonderful but not overly busy? Thank you.

Just 2 words... Alexandra Headland! Quiet, beautiful and it is ridiculously family friendly :-) went there last year and was scared to go anywheee else because honestly don't think anything else will measure. Also a bit cheaper than Noosa I believe :-)

Cairns, Mission Beach, Magnetic Island (off Townsville), Atherton Tablelands (a few hours drive from Cairns), Port Douglas (also a drive from Cairns).

No, you didn't! Looking online everywhere says Brisbane but I found Brisbane to be really boring! We'll be looking at a few different places on the Sunshine Coast.

Hervey Bay , malaney & montville are beautiful & relaxing places, there is some great nature waterfall walks through out the Maleny and montville area.

I second either the Sunshine Coast or Cairns - both have beautiful beaches and lovely hinterland

I agree hinterland but you can't swim in the beaches in Cairns.

True, but the esplanade is lovely and able to swim safely there in the pools :)

There are jellyfish at beaches here and you can still swim? I think I'll go with the Sunshine Coast :)

You can swim at the beaches in cairns in winter... And in the stinger nets... Stinger season.... Also you can swim on the islands close by.. Fitzroy and Green Is.... Tablelands has lots of beautiful water falls and lakes which are Croc free and spectacular... Lake Eacham... Milla Milla falls... Just to name a couple....

Definately fly to cairns, rent a car and you can see and do so much: Port Doulas, Hartleys Crocodile Farm, Sky Rail to Kuranda Steam Train back to Cairns, Tablelands (waterfall circuit), Mareeba has Hot Air Balloons, Paronella Park, Mission Beach, Green Island...so many options
