Post pregnancy nutrition boost.

I have a 4 month old healthy baby plus 2 older children. However, while I was pregnant I was unfortunate enough to supper through hyperemesis gravidarum. While I now feel like my pregnancy was a nightmare I would rather forget it is still haunting me physically. On top of the usual sleep deprived tired mum feeling and having bub suck all my nutrition from my breasts my skin is looking lifeless and tired but most concerning for me is my 4 month hair loss is extreme. I loose handfuls every day with bald patches at my temples and further back becoming harder and harder to hide. My doctor has informed me that it is due to the beating my body took while pregnant and assures me it will eventually stop and grow back. My husband even wanted me to get checked for leukaemia he has been worried. Have also had my thyroid checked. I have had an iron infusuon and vutiman B shots. I take a good multi vutiman and have a very healthy plant based diet with next to no processed or junk food. I have been also taking liquid iron and a hair supplement with little to no noticeable improvement.
My question is has anyone been through this? Did you find anything to help bring back your glow and prevent hair loss that is safe for breastfeeding? I feel so flat and I look unhealthy and sickly.

Maybe it’s the plant based diet, sounds like you need some real protein, like meat. The fact you had an iron transfusion means to me your healthy diet isn’t providing the iron you need.

Unfortunately I am unable to eat meat so it isn't an option. I haven't eaten meat for 4 years and have always had great iron levels and been in perfect health etc. However, I quickly became deficient in everything as I could not eat for 9 months. Even water I couldn't keep down I basically survived on lemon cordial and avocado with Vegemite on toast. Every vitamin I took came straight back up. I was vomiting easily 10times before 10am every day. That's why I had the infusions and injections it is was the only way to get the stuff into me plus what they put in my drip when I had to go in for hydration.
Perhaps I can look into a protine powder or something of the sorts
