I really want to learn how to do a few basic things on my car like change the oil and filter, change brake pads etc. I’ve tried watching the YouTube videos but it’s really not that helpful. Any suggestions on where I could go to learn this stuff Sydney NSW. I’m 41 and have no interest in chasing a near career path but I just would love to be able to do it. I don’t have any family members close by who work in the industry to ask.

I thought so. Searched but couldn’t find anything
My local adult learning centre does a course like this (WEA).
Put a call out on Facebook, I'm sure you'll have a female who wants to empower others willing to help out. Or a mechanic.
