At what age do you talk to your children about sex?
I have a 12 yr old son who is going through pubity at the moment.
Hes very shy ( has ASD) and has always found sex gross, I want him to know that sex is not bad and its a natural thing that adults do.
I dont know if he is to young for the conversation yet, not really a convo about safe sex as i cant imagine him having sex any time soon but i would like him to know that sex is not gross or bad.

If he thinks sex is gross leave it at that. It’s totally ok that he feels sex is gross. Not everyone wants to have sex and as someone on the spectrum I felt the same at that age and until much later.
If it’s going to change it will change when he is ready for it to change.
At this age it’s more about understanding that changes to the body are normal and natural and understanding that sex exists, consequences and safety.
It’s pretty typical to think sex is gross until you are developmentally ready for sex.
