Has anyone ever had eczema on the nipple? I went to the doctor for a really itchy scaly nipple, just my left one. She said it looks like just eczema but is sending me for an ultrasound just to be sure. If it is just eczema, I don’t know if it is normal for the areola to get really big? And is it weird that it’s only in 1 nipple, not both. I don’t think I can feel any lumps. I’m so scared now thinking it might be pagents disease (type of breast cancer).

I went to the doctor for a similar issue about a month ago except near my armpit had also swollen. It was also only on one nipple. It turns out I had dermatitis that had resulted in mastitis. The doctor still sent me to for a mammogram and ultrasound for reassurance. It's always best to get checked and isn't always worst case scenario :)
