Why even bother.

I'm on restricted work capacity. Im expected to work a 6hrs a week. This is what my dr agree im capable of working. I don't have a pension. Iv been fighting for years for one. However, my partner has a carers pension for me. Not to affect ether of our payments by too much, if he's works more then 10hrs a week, it's affects both our payments drastically. With his 10, and my 6, it's really affected our budget. It doesn't even matter that I work the same days he does. 16 hrs a week is classed as away from my care. It's not a matter of him working more hours, as I do need his assistance for several things.

Iv been working 2 months. Each fortnight on doing my earnings, my payment is up only about $100. But his parents are down by around the same amount. We are no better off with what I'm expected to work. For those with disabilities who don't qualify for a pension, this is totally not fair. I understand government payment is a Luxury. But what's the point of working what my body can take, if we are no better off for it. This is why ppl cheat the system. All iv gotten our of working os socialisation and more body pain. But if I don't work, I'm hounded by my job network every week.

the point is, you're earning your own money.
you'll never get ahead with your partner on carer's, can't you suck it up and let him work full time?
