Ideas for a bored stay at home mum

Hi all,
I live remotely, with very few to no jobs available.
I have 2 kids, 4yo and 4 month old. Hubby works 12 hour days, so its just the kids and myself home for the most part. Ive been a stay at home mum since having my eldest and i feel a bit lost. Like im missing something. I go to the local playgroup to socialise with other parents. Ive just completed a diploma, so really dont want to study again. Ive been searching for a job, any job, for the past month and havent had any luck. Having said that, living remotely there isnt much opportunity for employment. Im thinking of changing direction and maybe doing something from home. Im not very crafty so making things is a no go. What are some suggestions? And my housework is always done, as soon as there's anything to do, im on to it straight away haha

I think you need to be self improving. So working on a hobby and developing skills or expertise. Could be a language, craft, writing, drawing, cooking, musical instrument, sport, or group activity, whatever it is, now is your chance to work on it.
Make a list of what you want to achieve before your next big birthday, things youve always wanted in your life, and get to work on it.

I think maybe start a blog with your diploma expertise?

I used youtube to teach myself to crochet. I'm not very good, but I made each of my kids a blanket. I've also started sewing. Like you, I always said I was terrible at making things and I was really not crafty, but I found that if I started with easy things (the first thing I sewed was a pillow case for my daughter) her excitement at something Momma made inspired me to do more. I'm still not good, but my kids don't care. I'm also loving cooking more and more lately. I've found that I have a few friends who are time poor but love home baked treats, so I can 'barter' with them. One friend irons my girls netball skirts every week in return for cupcakes and cookies. Works out great for both of us! :D
