Visiting Darwin

Hi ladies! I'm visiting my man in Darwin this weekend. I've never been! Looking for some affordable places to go and see?!

I am a local and love it here! Depends what you're into really, and if you need to cater for kids or not. Here are some idea...
- crocosaurus cove in the city - which is a small (air conditioned!) croc and reptile park where you can go in the cage of death. There's also a cafe there
- The famous Mindil beach markets on Sunday and Thursday nights
- parap markets on Saturday morning (good food stalls!
- nightcliff markets Sunday mornings
- aquascene fish feeding (opening days and times vary depending on when high tide is)
- fish and chips for dinner at Cullen bay beach
- dinner at the nightcliff jetty or freshore on a Sunday evening - lots of food vans to choose from - potato man is great!
- at the moment the darwin festival is on so there's a lot of stuff on in the city
- casuarina shopping Centre has a lovely outdoor area with cafes and restaurants
- the waterfront has cafes and restaurants as well as the wave pool and the only croc and shark free beach safe to swim at
- leanyer water park has 3 water slides - all free to use
- litchfield national park (about 1.5hrs from Darwin) has lots of amazing swimming holes (buley rockhole, Florence falls, wangi falls)
- berry springs water hole (about 40min from Darwin)
- right next to berry springs is the territory wildlife park

Lots and lots of stuff to see and do!! Hope that helps 😀
