Tad emotional.

PAPP-A was 1.083 (No idea what these mean)
Just wanting to hear other stories for advice

Yes, this happened to me, no nasal bone, no he wasn’t born with downs. It is a soft indicator, one of many factors and apparently it is very difficult to find a 12 week old babies nasal bone on ultra sound, depending on their position. I would request a second ultra sound so they can try a bit harder to find it. Sending love to you at this difficult time, I’m sorry, I don’t know what the other figures indicate, I hope some others can be of more help. All the best xxxxx

Did you do any testing to find out before birth or just wait and see??

I think they vaguely said they thought they saw it in second ultra sound, we had counselling and they said the risks were extremely low looking at the other indicators, so we proceeded. He was born with some other issues, but nothing that links to the nasal bone or DS. Have another scan and see how you go from there. You need to speak to a professional who can weigh all the results up for you.

I had similar results, high risk of Edwards and Down syndrome. It’s a very emotional time I know. Talk to your Dr there are options for you to get an accurate result. I had a CVS done at 11 weeks and put my mind completely at ease. Fast forward 10 years and I have a healthy beautiful girl. Good luck mumma!

At 20 weeks my ultrasound showed a small nasal bone, OB told us it was a soft marker for downs. We opted for NIPT blood test which showed low chance, our healthy baby was born without DS and simply had a tiny button nose.
