Terminating paternal rights

Terminating paternal rights

Can anyone please give insight on voluntarily terminating paternal rights in QLD? He does not want to be a father and one day the mother says he has no obligations to her/the baby then the next day she changes her mind. He would not be able to have anything to do with it even if he wanted. A family friend did the same thing 20years ago but only had to write a letter to the mother because she was willing. Is there a way for him to do this with or without her?

He can do it without her. If she also does it the child will go into the system.
While he can do this, he cannot terminate his financial responsibility.

I’m not having a go at you but it really makes me upset when there’s fathers out there that go to the extent of taking their own lives because they can’t see their children and people who have to result in not having a biological child due to health reasons and then there’s people who just throw away their rights like their child who they created means nothing. How can you throw away your child so easily absolutely baffles me.
