Hi everyone! I am trying for my 1st baby with hubby at the moment.. We have been trying since December and I have PCOS. Regular periods (although very heavy), ovulating (according to the ovulation urine test sticks), just have lots of cysts & oversized ovaries. Does anyone have any success stories or any wive tails/medicines etc, that helped them fall pregnant with pcos? I know it has only been 4 months but it can be a bit stressful when nothing is happening and you throw the stress of an underlying problem in the mix!! Thanks 😊

Same situation as you! It took us 10 months of trying and we were just about to start IUI/IVF (hadn’t chosen which we would do) and they told me to prepare for egg retrieval that month however we put it off for holidays.
Had sex for fun that month, ate, drank, had a cigarette and I fell pregnant!!
That made me smile so much :) congrats!
Thank-you! It was a hard time as I was told I was infertile and then 2 months later I sat there on the floor with 9 positive pregnancy tests (I couldn’t believe my eyes hahaha!!!).
It can and will happen, it takes time but do not give up hope. When we started we were just trying to see what happened, after a few months we were thinking why isn’t anything happening and then it became stressful after 6 months lol. I didn’t ovulate until the day before my period each cycle so I physically couldn’t have an egg attach to the wall lining, then one month it happened!!
Friend of mine has PCOS she had three little girls with no medical i intervention.
I don't have pcos and it took me 4-6 months to fall pregnant with each of my 3 babies. Take some pressure off. It may be an old wives tale but each time I fell pregnant it was after I'd decided bugger it and ate and drank and enjoyed having sex with my husband when I wanted and not when I thought I was ovulating. Good luck x
I know quite a few people with PCOS who have kids.
Have you been to a specialist to talk about your hormone levels? I needed to get my hormones somewhat in balance then once I had my first period I was pregnant straight away. It definitely does happen. Eat right and follow your doctors advise and try to relax. You will get there.
I've had pcos for 8 odd years. I fell pregnant by accident a few years back. Did the "timing" method and it failed. I wasn't due to ovulate for another week, turns out my cycle wasn't balanced.
I wouldn't bother peeing on sticks, try all month long and you'll get there :)
It is definitely possible, it will just probably take a lot longer than you would like.
Don't 'try'. Just have fun while having sex and if/when you get pregnant it will be a wonderful bonus ♡
Tried for 2 years before seeing a specialist. I have a 5 and 8 year old now thanks to Clomid :-) All
The best!
