Period after D&C

For people who have had a D&C (dilation and currette), how long after until you got your period? And how long would you wait before seeing your doctor about it? It's been 8, nearly 9 weeks now and I haven't had Flo come yet. We want to start trying again but no Flo yet and I haven't ovulated (that I know of, never good at telling when I was). And NO I'm not already pregnant either.
