Having a doula was the best thing I ever did!! We had one for our second pregnancy and birth due to a traumatic first birth and aiming for a VBAC. I contacted the Australian Doula Collage who assigned a student doula- as I didn’t have the money for a fully trained doula ( it was close to $1000). The trainee was awesome, it ended up costing us around 200- that was 7 years ago. I paid part of the payment before hand and the rest after. Best of luck
