Hi ladies, thank you in advance for your time. I had an appointment today where my obstetrician told me before scanning that my hcg levels were extremely high (295,000+ at 8.5 weeks) and he was expecting to find twins. He then only found one baby. Being me, I googled why else the levels could be so high and have now sent myself crazy with worry that there is something wrong with the baby/pregnancy. Has anyone else had a similar hcg level and still had a healthy baby/pregnancy? Just needing some reassurance. My hcg levels in my previous pregnancies were within normal range.

Yes my first was really high and was told high chance of twins but only one. Everything was fine except for 5 weeks prem but I don't think that was related. So glad google wasn't around back then, curious to know what you found?
