I applied for so many jobs with supermarkets and department stores without any luck, I think it's probably because they get so many applications and because it's cheaper to hire youngsters.
However, you'd have had to apply online so you should actually be able to log into your coles careers account and see how your application is progressing.
Don't waste your time taking a resume in store. They will only tell you to apply online anyway.
I applied with coles, the worst experience. I got an interview via an email. In person interview and from there it was pathetic. No actual person doing the recruitment, just generic emails, couldn’t ask questions. They are absolutely desperate for staff at the moment. Maybe going in and asking for the manager would be a good idea!
