Does anybody else suffer from really sore achy feet? Any tips on how to prevent this from happening? Here's my story- I'm 29yrs old and weigh 103kgs now that it's the start of the new year I want to knuckle down to lose atleast 30kgs before the end of the year. I have started going on hour long walks and joined with a gym doin my first hr & a half work out today. After going on a walk yesterday as soon as I got home my feet were that sore that I couldn't even walk on them or stand up straight , is this normal ? I thought yeah sure I would be sore but was just ridiculous that I couldn't even stand on my feet without so much aching.
After today's gym sesh happened again. My feet are stil bit achy it's now the Afternoon. I wear great sneakers that were brought from a sports shop so I know it's not the shoes hurting my feet., if this is just apart of getting active then how long will I have to put up with the aching feet and any tips to help soothe the pain?

Omg i get really sore feet too, so sore i cant stand/walk. I have found that i cannot walk barefoot around the house, so i wear thongs and that helps a bit. The only other thing that helps is a foot rub but that doesnt happen very often!
I have plantar fasciitis, it's from pregnancy, it's broken bottom of my feet, it feels like I'm walking on knives it's especially worse the first few steps after resting. See a dr, it can last for years. you need to stretch and treat them to heal it. You can stretch them before you get up, I had pain medication just to start light exercising. Sit on the lounge and roll your foot on a tennis ball, freeze a coke bottle of water and roll that under your feet. Ice packs help too. I wear orthotic supports in my shoes and am supposed to wear good support shoes all the time. The next step is those injections into my feet. Definitely see your Dr.
Hi I've been through this too:( if u go and c a podiatrist they can look at the impact in your feet as u walk. U may need some orthotic inserts :)
