Breastfeeding After A Boob Job

Hi IM's :)

Just wondering if there is anyone out there who has had a boob job and been able to breast feed after?
I had a lift, reduction on one side as well as implants under the muscle after my 2 girls sucked the life out of them lol
My new hubby and I would like to try and conceive in the next couple months and I would really like to be able to try and breast feed again. I've read stories about milk ducts growing back so I was wondering if there is anyone out there who has had any success?
It's not the end of the world if I can't as I really struggled with my first 2 and I never got past the 3 month mark due to severe mastitis but I would still like to give it a go if possible :-)

Thanks in advance :-) xx

Perhaps ask your doctor as every woman is different. But yes some women have no problem breastfeeding after a boob job.

Yes, i did. I never had a great supply and mix fed and went to justs formula after 3 months but i was surprised to even get that. They removed the whole nipple and advised no chance, of course i was prepared for it not to happen but open to bf if it did and it did so yes, possible. My baby was 4 yrs post op.

Yes I have, if the surgeon left your nipple attached then your breasts may or may not produce milk but if you had a full nipple graft then no you wouldn't be able to. As the reader above mentioned I also didn't have a good supply and I had twins so I always mix fed, you won't really know until baby is born and your hormones kick in. Best wishes. I had a reduction and lift with nipples resized and re located but not removed from the milk duct.

I had a reduction before my 1st baby. I wasn't able to feed my 1st bub. I went on the have 2 more babies. Didn't bother feeding no.2 after failing with no.1. Fast forward 9 years when baby no.3 was born I decided to attempt to feed and it worked! I didn't have a huge supply & had to top up with formula. I didn't have implants however. Just give it a try...you won't know until you do :) Best of luck with it all.
