Planning with Kids is one of the best “parenting” books I have read. Big call I know – but true.
I’m a bit of a go-with-the-flow Mum, which in some cases has its advantages, but sometimes it’s not so good. This was my first year with a child at school, so I seriously needed to look at our household routines, or lack thereof. After seeing Nicole Avery being interviewed on The Circle I ordered this book in. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it wasn’t just a planning book, but it covers EVERYTHING:
Meals
Family Finances
Navigating with a new baby
Preparation for preschoolers
Strategies for schoolchildren
Enjoying Parenthood – You and Your partner
Making time for play
Preparing for Holidays
Stress-free birthday parties
Avoiding Christmas Chaos
Routines

I have been meaning to get this book for a few months now - one of my friends bought it when it first came out, and it has made a really big difference in how she runs her household!
Good to hear Michelle - It certainly made a difference in my household. :)
A friend of mine has this book, and I've used a few of the ideas in it, and they worked fantastically with my 4 kids. Now I know I can get it from Harley's Educational, I will definitely be getting my own copy.
Thanks Imperfect mum
Pleasure -It's a great book! You will love it!
Thanks so much Kirsty for your very kind write up of the book! And thanks also to the lovely mums who left such wonderful comments as well. xx
Pleasure Nicole- I just love your book! I have raved about it so much that now 3 of my friends have it, one of them PM'd me the other day thanking me for the recommendation. There are still a few things I need to implement one being the meal planning. I have just gotten home and realised I have nothing organised for tea :/ whoops.. Looks like it will be a quick throw together quiche! Oh well :)
