EX Avoiding Child Support Payment

EX Avoiding Child Support Payment

I have a few questions regarding child support payments. My EX partner went over seas to avoid paying child support, he never declared he had a foreign income and I received $32 a month for 2 children for min of 2 years. ( He used to earn $120,000 per annum before he left) Is he allowed to not declare any income he has earnt overseas for child support purposes? ( I do have a Linken resume of all the places he worked while over there) would this be enough evidence?
He has moved back to Australia (Almost 2 years now) and now has 2 businesses which have ABN in his name and is declaring he will not be earning a income for this finical year resulting in me getting $32 a month again. Can anyone give me any advice on what to do or is it pretty much pointless?

Ring CSA tell them the information you have, but don't expect anything to come from it. Unfortunately it's like getting blood from a stone

Sounds EXACTLY like my situation. I did file a change of assessment and provided all the info I could get including his LinkedIn. They asked him to make an offer, he did but now it's back to $34 per month. CSA do nothing, virtually.

How long did your change of assessment last. I think Child Support sucks, considering they are a government firm yet I can provide more information that I get off google and Facebook then they can.

Sorry, I just saw your question now. It lasted until tax time. Then back to 34 dollars pm. Yes, child support agency is pathetic. I think if you're on Centrelink benefits they try a bit (slightly) harder to get them to pay. If you're not you're stuffed!

My ex declared last year that he was no longer working and I received $30 for 2 kids a month. I knew there was no way he could be paying a mortgage, drinking, smoking etc for 6 months without working. Also knew he has mates he could easily work for cash in hand. Sadly because I have nothing to do with him I couldn't proove it BUT come tax time they caught up with him and I got a lump sum. If you have proof of any kind that he has these businesses I would be putting in an appeal and get them to look into it further. It may take some time but worth it in the long run
