I'm needing some help for a friend, he is unsure what to do in this situation.
His wife had a baby 4 months ago and since the baby has been 2 weeks old she has been in hospital diagnosed with Post Natal Psychosis. They had been released but are in need of a doctor or long term facility that can help her with on going treatment as things are getting worse. He just needs some direction from anyone that has suffered and has found help in the Melbourne area.

If she is getting worse they should ring the hospital/unit she was released from for advice asap. Otherwise head straight to there GP as the GP will be able to assess what services are appropriate and she will need a referral anyway. She will most likely need a psychiatrist.
If he is worried about her safety at anytime he can call 000 and get an ambulance.
