16 month old no longer having bottles?
My 16 almost 17month old has decided that he no longer wants bottles. I wouldn't mind this if he was a good eater but he is very fussy and at the moment not really eating much at all. Every time I offer him a bottle I get a NUP and he pushes it away, he is on a formula with no dairy in it as he was diagionsed with a dairy protien intollerance at 3 months whic we were advised that he would grow out of byt 12 months so we have been slowly introducing dairy into his diet from 12 months (mostly yogurt as he wont eat cheese and we have lately offered him cows milk which he has not taken to) with no issues.
He wont really eat a variety of foods and since he sarted refusing bottles (3 days ago since he had his last) he has been drinking plenty of water but seems to be eating less but that may seem that way as we have been offering him food more often. The first day he refused a bottle I know he was cutting a tooth (he now only has 4 teeth left to come through) and we had to give him panadol. Before this he was havign 2 bottles during the day and one before going to bed (only 210ml feeds which is less than what is recomended for his age but he wont even finish that). He still seems happy and healthy but he is only a small baby with next to no body fat (he has only just hit 9kgs and is wearing 0 outfits).
He doesn't stop until its time for a nap an usually we have to decide that it's time for a sleep. He has never been a big eater but seems to be less fussy about eating when he is at daycare, which we have put down to following what the other kids do. He is hitting all the milestones and for some of them seem to be ahead of what is expected, is very smart, loves reading. Should I be worried and taking him to the doctors for a check or is a normal part of the weaning process? Do they just one day decide that they don't need a bottle anymore? This is our first child so no idea what to expect so any advice would be helpful.

Will he drink his formula in a cup??
I think it's just a sign of him growing up and being more active. My boy did not want daytime bottles at that age either. Would only take one just before bed.
I'd keep a food diary and ask for the menu at daycare so you can offer similar foods. Kids at that age really just like to pick at foods. They have very small stomachs still and prefer to eat on the go.
We have tried formula in a cup and he won't have more than a sip. He just flat out refuses to have any formula at all not even before bed.
What about making milkshakes with the formula? It's also a great way to sneak fruit and vegetables into his diet.
Take him to the shop, and allow him to pick out a special cup for him to drink from.
And Google some recipes for healthy smoothies.
