Getting work

My daughter began kindy this year
I've been a stay at home mum all her life and now need to get back into workforce.
I'm not picky honestly with what kind of job I get I just want something that is suitable.
My question is how do I go about that?
School begins 9:15 and finishes at 3
Closet town is half an hour drive away.
I will only be available to work between 9:45-2:30 at maximum.
I have just completed a hospitality course and I have previous retail experience but not in the same area as I currently live .
Moving is not an option as I want my child to stay at one school throughout primary.
All of my family and friends live about 4 hour drive from me.
I don't have anyone who can pick up or drop off my child from school it must be me.
My question is - is 4 4 and a half hrs a day enough to earn an income solid enough to live on? Any tips, advice, suggestions welcome

Before and after school care. Then you're availability increases. You could do full time, half days or three or four full days.

Short answer: no, working roughly 20hrs a week is probably not enough to comfortably live off, given that you will most likely do hospitality or retail and the hourly rate is around $19 for weekdays.
It is a good supplement however and i applaud you for wanting to get out there and give it a go. It is possible you could find a cafe or shop who want to hire someone during their busy (lunch time) period and that would be ideal for you.
Do you have after school care in your area?

Before and after school care! There is huge competition for the hours you want to work so getting a job is impossible on that limited time slot. Kids love the school programs and if you manage to get a job that starts early/finishes early or starts late/finishes late so you only have to use either the morning or the afternoon it works great.
My nieces and nephews all complain when they don't GET to go to after school care, it's like one huge play date.
