"Online relationship" real? Update

Thankyou to everyone for the positivity, you mums are fabulous.
I just wanted to say, we are friends on Facebook, which is active with his friends an family posting/being tagged etc. we FaceTime daily.
He has no intentions of staying in my home when he visits. Or meeting my children. And I wouldn't allow this.
He has no criminal record.
He also seems to have been raised to not accept money of women. ( traditional old school Texas family)
And I wouldn't ever send money over ( I've watched catfish a few to many times)

I feel as though I'm taking all the right steps to be smart and sensible with this, whilst also allowing the adventure.

That is awesome. Sounds like you're doing everything right.
My advice is just don't have high expectations.
I did online dating. Talked for ages with one guy. Thought he was perfect! Met him in person and nothing. No spark.
I did meet my fiancé online though and yes there was a spark, so you never know.
