Perisher Ski Holiday

Hi, anyone been to Perisher?

I'd love to take my son and his cousin on a snow holiday. I've been looking at their website but would love to hear experiences of others. And any general tips as well. My son is 4, his cousin 6, so want to be on the snow and for the holiday to be as easy as possible so it's fun.

Some questions:
1. Is Perisher Valley the best place for beginners?
2. What is the best accommodation closest to the ski school / on snow? Perisher Hotel seems to be close?
3. Are there shops / cafes nearby?
4. When putting the kids into ski school, how many days did you book?
5. Any other suggestions what else to do at Perisher besides the school (for kids)?

We will need to hire gear and I'd love to have a couple lessons myself too.
