Researching ideas!
Thinking of starting a business and need some feedback.
If a service was offered to plan events for you, would you use it.
I would love to specialise in 'at home' functions where you would provide a budget and I would organise and purchase products and cater food/drink/cake within the budget. I would set up the event and if needed, assist running the event.
Payment would include reimbursement for approved purchases and add a fee as my payment.
It could be for kids or adult birthdays, engagement parties, themed parties, reunions etc...
Thoughts? Ideas? What would you pay for a service like this?
Thinking the name 'Creative Occasions'. Thoughts?
Thanks for your feedback!

My friend runs a similar business in Adelaide. It doesn't support her in a full time capacity. If I could afford it I would definitely use it.
Ive studied and worked in event planning. Dont underestimate the time it takes to organise all this which you need to be compensated for to make doing it worthwhile.
If you can get skilled in design so you can make personalised invitations and decos which would make a big difference to what you can offer.
Personally I wouldn't, but we are always looking for someone to come on the night and prepare/serve the food and drinks and do the dishes throughout to avoid the cleanup the next day. We've used a few different companies and never have found someone we re-book. So if you could do this well, it'd be something we would use a lot (we have a lot of house parties!).
Even if you could change it so they you don't organise/purchase the food products and drinks but help out with suggestions on places to buy them as that is where people struggle. Build up knowledge such as how Dan Murphy's accept returns for drinks if they over cater and be a standard "event planner" with a bit more of a personal touch :)
