I'd consider childcare over real estate - or even administration. Childcare - get a Cert 3 (usually government funded), then whilst working you can work towards a diploma qualification (also can get funding or workplace can sponsor you to do it). Real estate is a hard career to be successful in, you have to be away from home a lot for open houses, be on call for when clients want to look at houses, take calls at different hours etc.
I'd go with childcare! It's a lot more family friendly. A lot of courses are online these days, so no need to uproot your family. Sometimes childcare centres advertised for untrained workers too.
Google childcare courses, TAFE usually run them. There maybe some work experience required, but there will be local day care centres happy for you to do that with them.
I have a daughter with ASD who is 11 so I know your frustration. I'm on Carers and STILL not back at work.
A few things that I've run into while trying to get back into paid employment:
Are you going to need before and or after school care? Is there before/after school care available? Where is it and how do they get there?
Are they set up to cater for your childs needs?
TAFE courses don't run on the same times as school days so if you can't get someone else (partner?) to do school pick up/drop offs, that can be a huge pain in the ass. Trying to get assisted transport if you don't have it already is like trying to get blood from a stone, actually, getting blood from a stone is easier!
Between Childcare and Real estate; I'd do Childcare. Real estate is not family friendly.
I take it you're around the Gosford Central Coast area? Have a look a the job boards in your area for Childcare, how in demand is it? Call the child care centres and ask what the likelihood of you finding employment with a Cert III is.
Talk to your local TAFE and ask if/about their courses, how popular they are (the more people in your class, the more competition there is for work) etc.
Lastly, good luck!
Study, at your own pace. Something like speech therapy, occupational therapy or psychology would be most helpful, and very much needed in any area, with the rolling out of NDIS and high rates of autism increasing every year.
