My husband's job may be relocating us to Port Hedland WA. I've never been out of our rural mining town in Nth Qld so have no idea what to expect. I keep hearing horror stories about the crime in the area from miners wives that have moved back. I am dreading the thought of being stuck in my house locked up tight. I suffer from anxiety and always focus on the worse. Are there any mums of young kids there that can help put my mind at rest? What suburbs are best for families with young kids? Is it really as bad as I've been hearing?
