Hi. I have 4 kids aged 5months to 12. I haven't worked since my eldest was 1. Starting to feel extremely guilty that I'm not contributing financially and hubby is doing it all. I've been studying for the past couple of years part time and recently deferred because of bub. My question is how do I get into the work force with no qualifications? I'm wanting to do anything and any times. I'm just not sure how to go about it.

Its hard. I have been out of the workforce for 15 years. Prior to having kids I worked in admin. Since having kids I have done 2 Certificate Courses in different fields and neither have lead me to a job. Everyone wants experience. I have been looking for a job, any job, for over 2 years, and can't even get an interview with Coles. I don't live in a capital city and being 50 just makes it harder. If i had my time again, I would never choose to be a SAHM because in the current employment market it is near impossible to get back in. Good luck, I hope you have success.
I've applied to coles and woolies same response as you. Not very confidence buliding...
I started out as an unskilled factory process worker and worked my way up the factory ladder. It's not my dream job but it's what I do and judging by the numerous promotions (only one of them I actually applied for) I've become quite good at it.
