Toddler boys and painful erections

My son is 3, and uncircumcised. The last few months when he’s had an erection, he’s been complaining of pain. Just wondering if any other mums have experienced this with toddler boys and whether it’s appropriate to bring up with the doctor he sees in a few weeks. His testicles also haven’t descended fully either.

His foreskin may be a bit tight? This was the case for a relative of mine, as he got older it caused a few infections but he grew out of it without any major medical intervention.
Def mention it to his doctor though.

That’s what I was thinking, but having 2 girls and being a single mother, I’m a little unsure when it comes to boys. I will be mentioning it to his paediatrician anyway :)

Yep, id definitely bring it up with the doctor. Also bring up his testicles as well. There might be something going on that will need medical intervention.

Doctor is aware of the testicles and is monitoring it, but the erection thing is new

It happened to my son once. He gave it a tug and it was all better. Maybe see the doctor sooner then later but if it happens again tell him to tug it. The foreskin can get stuck abit as it seperates with age
