No idea about local ones but there are some brilliant online ones!
Facebook search ADHD, ADD, ASD, ODD support group, there's a large one filled with people going through same crap as us each day. My son is ASD so I am RIGHT there with you!

Plenty of Facebook groups and through that you usually find people closer to you!
Some are of varying quality, a few groups go down the rabbit hole of bizarre and dangerous 'treatments' so just remove yourself for those groups if you accidentally stumble on them.

Hi Sweet, I am a Mum also from rural qld, I have found the bulk of my help came from facebook pages, we also created a support group in Charleville, though we do not meet as often as I like, but we have created a community and most people are pointed in my directions (small towns you know). I also travel to far north as well as my husband works up there. If you would like to contact me through facebook i admin two pages Charleville Special Needs Support Group and Asperger's Parent Connect, which is the main page I use the local one is to help or let parents in the area of any events they might like to attend to develop their learning or to create awareness within the community. Hope this is helpful Cheers and thanks Sandy Gurney
