Paternity recognition to a Australian

Paternity recognition to a Australian

hello everyone. I'm writing from Perú and I need some help with my case.
I had a relationship with a Australian that ended with a pregnancy last 2012. We split 4months before our daughter was born and he wasn't in the day of birth neither tried too. She was born in Perú since i was back in my country and her birth certificate doesn't have his name on. He never came to meet her and only sent money the first 2years of her and also sent cards gifts letters of the Australian family that were happy about their first granddaughter. After that It's been 4years almost that I been taking care everything as a single mom for our daughter. I felt he washed his hands and think I can't do anything because his name is not on the birth certificate. I tried to make him a paternity test but he always avoided travelling for work overseas. He is a successful golf construction manager and doesn't pay a coin neither care about our daughter. Please if someone knows how can I find a way to make him pay for child support and etc. Thank you for our attention. Joanna Perú

If you were living in Australia it would be hard enough to make him pay, let alone living in another country.
In Australia there is an agency that collects child support, called the Child Support Agency. It might be worth looking at there website and making an enquiry. But as I said, there is no real incentive to pay, and no real punishment for not paying. So lots of people wait many many years to get paid.
If there is a similar agency in your country you could check if they have any agreements. I know Australia and New Zealand agencies co-operate by collecting child support.
If no luck there then you’d probably need to see a family lawyer who deals with international family law, which will probably cost a fortune.

I have a feeling theres nothing you can do unless you live in australia then they would take his tax and pay it to you eventually. Best way may be with honey appealing to him and his family.

You can register an Australian child support case if he lives here. Www.humanservices.gov.au has links to child support and will have a phone number for overseas to call. Paternity tests in Australia need to be court ordered but may not be required. Phone and talk to them
