I think it's quite neutral and how often does one use their middle name anyway lol! Otis is super cool too.
Sounds good to me. It doesn't sound too feminine
I think it's fine for either sex.
I’m in the medical field...look up Otis ;)
I looked it up and found a bunch of business names, nothing medical at all
Are you referring to otitis?? Completely different word
To the op, I love the name!
Online tuberculosis information system?
Thats all i found..... elaborate?
Are you sure you mean otis?
OTIS (ōt′is) [Acronym from Organization of Teratology Information Specialists]
A nonprofit organization that provides information about potential health risks during pregnancy and lactation.
And what the word is most used for....
Cancrum otis: an erosive ulcer of the cheek and lip resulting from poor hygiene. It was often seen in young children and could be fatal as it led to gangrene of the facial tissues. Synonyms: canker, water canker, noma, gangrenous stomatitis, gangrenous ulceration of the mouth.
We refer ppl to OTIS all the time
That would be cancrum oRis not oTis
No,it’s Otis.
I actually agree. I'm not in the medical field but when I read it, it made me think of an ear infection (I know its different but close enough). It's not really relevant though which is why i didn't write a reply when I initially read it as the O.P didn't invite opinions on the first name. From what I read she's more concerned about the middle name.
Ekkk well that totally blew up. Not interested in the opinions of the first name. Thanks all the same. It was the middle name i was more intrested. The first first name will be Otis even if its a term used in the medical field im not sure how many people would actually refer to the child as a medical term. Thanks for all the great insight tho.
I thought it was slightly feminine so I asked hubby and he said definitely feminine. I think it sounds nice but I would avoid a feminine sounding name for a son. Could you mix it up slightly differently?
Thanks heaps for your opinion. Great to get others thoughts. Thank u and ur hubby 😀
If you're asking the question.. You think it's a bit girly or someone else you respect does...
Actually no neither. Just a general question, it rolls off the tounge for both my hubby and i and no one else knows of our ideas just getting others opinions. Like i said we have unusal names anyway. Thanks O.P
