I am a serial worrier, so please set my mind at ease, I am about 7 weeks pregnant, I've had several losses in the past, I went for my bloody tests and seen the dr for results, iron was low, she gave me referral for a dating scan for next week & a glucose test due to having sugar issues in the past, I received a phone call from the pathology lab asking to come in as they needed to re-check my bloody group & antibodies, so I had that earlier this week with the GTT, today I received a text from my Dr's office to make an appointment to see my dr regarding recent test results, I can't get in until Monday, now I'm stesssed and feeling ill with worry, if it's the sugar test, fine, but why would they re-test my bloods for the antibody bloody group things/ would be Dr have asked for this but not mention anything to me, please help!!

Sometimes it is policy with GP practices to ask all patients to come in to receive test results even if they are normal. I would ring the practice and ask to speak to the practice nurse who may be able to tell you the results over the phone to stop you from worrying all weekend. I'm sure if it was urgent the GP would have called you
Do you know what blood group you are? If it's a negative it just means extra precautions are taken and anti d needles are given at 28 and 34 weeks and at birth as well as if you have any bleeding during your pregnancy. The fact that you have had miscarriages in the past may mean they want to keep a closer eye on you. I agree with the other poster though and see if you can get results over the phone to put your mind at ease
Congratulations on the pregnancy and best wishes for a healthy and happy one.
I would imagine if the results were of major concern, they'd want to have you in immediately or refer you to the hospital. So that is a massive bonus already.
As the poster has already said, it could be to do with your blood group.
I would give them a call and maybe see if you can speak directly to the doctor over the phone and just explain your worried and stressing and you'd like some clarification prior to the appointment on Monday.
A couple of years ago I was in the process of being diagnosed with some Gastrointestinal conditions.
Anyway, my doctors receptionist called and said I needed to come in to discuss something they found on one of my scans. I couldn't get in til 3 days later, I spent that whole time convinced I had cancer or something.
I got there and my gp said the scan showed I was constipated and I needed some strong laxatives.
I guess my point is to try not to worry, worrying won't change the outcome either way it just makes you stressed and feel crappy. It is encouraging that it is something that can wait too, if it was urgent they'd have let you know and made time for you or sent you to emergency.
If O neg you need injections because you body can try and kill a baby as it does a cold and so on. I'm o neg and I was explained the injections are basically like blockers on a horse so the blood doesn't see it as a bad thing. Both my babies are O neg but you can't take the risk while pregnant. I think there's like 2-3 by memory. Than another one if you have a bleed or anything
