Strategies to stop drinking?

I am drinking too much, and spend most of my kid free time drinking wine. I find it so relaxing but I’m putting on weight and hate waking up feeling like crap and fighting through the day. I feel like it’s gotten out of control, because I want to stop but am finding it very difficult. Has anyone felt like this? Any tips for stopping?

Would you check yourself in as an outpatient and get some rehab? Or do you feel it isn't at that point? Look at swapping alcoholic wine to non-alcoholic wine (Aldi sell it, Safeway tend to as well).

To give it up, you need to understand why you are drinking. Is it to mask a pain of some sort? Or to feel "free"?

You need to find something else to relax.
Like a book or a crossword puzzle, etc
