Pregnancy

I am currently about 5-6 weeks pregnant, it was planned and we are over the moon. BUT i am soooooo nervous and worried to reach the 12 week/3 month spot. This will be my third pregnancy, my first i had a miscarriage at 12 weeks ( baby stopped growing at 9 weeks but my body didn't realise until 12 weeks)
I have a 7 year old and the start of that pregnancy it was complicated and thought i was going to miscarriage again. I am so scared, nervous worried. Is it normal to have period like pains sometimes no bleeding. Anybody else felt like this before?

Yes it is so normal. And so nerve wracking. I understand completely I had a similar experience with my second pregnancy miscarried at 11 weeks but baby hadn’t grown past 6-7 weeks. So heart breaking! My 3rd pregnancy I stressed over every slight something until I heard that little heart beat at 12 weeks! All the very best for a successful pregnancy! Keep talking! Seek out your GP or midwife get your concerns heard and relieved whenever you need! X

As someone who has had multiple miscarriages in one year, I know what you are going through. I am currently pregnant again and every twinge or vaginal secretion has me freaking out that it's all over. But even though we want the pregnancy to succeed, the reality is that we have very minimal control of the situation. It sounds harsh but if it happens, it happens.

What I choose to do instead of indulging my anxious brain, is to focus on the here and now with my little bean and enjoy my pregnancy for what it is - a blessing. I would rather spend my time being happy than afraid, no matter the outcome.

Try using some mindfulness apps to help distract you when you are at your most anxious, and remember that every pregnancy is different and so too is the outcome. Hope everything goes well for you.

I was like this with my 3rd pregnancy. I didn’t have them aching pains with my other 2 but I did with my 3rd and I got so anxious. Turns out it was normal. try not to stress
