Has anybody been told the generated of their baby at the 20 scan and it actually been wrong? I had a scan last week and was told I was having a boy, but she did say it was difficult to tell as she only got a split second glance before bubs shut his legs again.

If they couldn't get a proper reading they should offer for you to come back for free.
Is there a possibility you wanted it to be a girl and she got that vibe so wanted to give you hope?
I have two boy and two girls. I honestly could care less what I have BUT this baby was a surprise so I need to know so I can re buy all the things I got rid of š
I have a friend who was told boy at 20 scan then told girl at 32 week scan and it was in fact a girl. She had decorated the nursery and bought blue everything

They definitely can be wrong. In saying that, they're also pretty accurate most of the time.
I'd say a boy is fairly likely but it might be worthwhile to keep things gender neutral.
It used to happen a lot when scans weren't all that clear and it's one of the reasons why I decided to never find out the sex because I'd heard too many stories about people who got their hopes up for a certain sex, bought everything and only picked one name only to have the opposite sex. It can cause bonding issues too. But I think it's pretty accurate these days. I would still wait and see for your next scan though or opt not to find out, I used to just choose gender neutral for the big items and have a few newborn clothes and blankets for both sexes then go shopping when the baby is born for more blankets, clothes and small things.
We were told from 20 week scan it was a boy.
Measured..did all kinds.
We didn't care but just thought in the scans it looked girlie.
Our boy is only 14 months older, so we were pretty current on what went on.
I had GD..lots of scans
On the day a very girly looking girl arrived.
I had taken pink clothes with me.
She is almost 9 now, the technology may be better.
