Has anyone had a classical caesarian? Where they cut your uterus vertically, rather than horizontally. If so, how long did you wait to fall pregnant again? My Dr is advising a minimum of 2 years but was also hinting not to try again due to the risks. I know I can get a second opinion, I'm just curious of other women's similar stories. TIA.

2 years is the suggested time you should wait, but I know you don’t have to. But you increase your chances of Placenta Acreta and other kinds of issues. I’ve had 3 ceseareans all of them had a 4.5 year gap between them and had no issues. I know others who have had a less than 2 year gap and be ok. I also know 2 woman who have had issues from going back too soon and one needing a hysterectomy. It depends on how many children you are wanting really.
I feel like it’s important that you remember that doctors advice comes from experience and has your best medical interest at heart..
This depends on a number of factors. Your doctor saw your uterus and would have made clinical observations of your internals when they did the c-section.
It’s important to ask your doctor the details. Why does he think it’s not a guys idea?
My sister was told no more after 2 based on her internal size, how she heals and the reason she needed the c-section in the first place etc.
Ask the details and when you seek a second opinion make sure they have access to your full medical file.
