Hi everyone!
I’m currently almost 6 weeks pregnant.
Today I had my dating scan ( just a abdominal scan) and all they could see was the gestational sac measuring 5+5 which is exactly where I should be according to ovulation. However with my first child, by 5+5 I was able to see a fetal pole and heart beat.
Has anybody experienced similar? And gone on to have another scan to find a baby with a heartbeat?

With my first, I was around 5 weeks and a few days. The only thing visible was the sac.
Went back about 10 days later and there was a healthy baby (who's now 12) and a strong heartbeat.
That's pretty normal and why my doctor won't do a dating scan until 8 weeks
Have you put on weight since last time? I did before my last pregnancy and my earlier scans were through the cervix.
5 babies and I have never seen the heart beat until at least 7 weeks.. my uterus points towards my spine so it makes things a bit harder to see in the early days, but I have 4 happy healthy kids and another die in 3 weeks. Try not to stress xxx

I had a scan a few days ago, I thought I’d be about 8 weeks according to my last period but I had no heart beat only a sac, I have to go back in a few weeks because they said I only looked around 5 weeks.
This is my very surprising fourth baby, all of my others the heartbeat showed around 7-8 weeks.
