My sister had naturally conceived fraternal twins. Twins run in our family, down mum’s side. It skips a generation and my grandma had twins, so we always knew that my sister, myself or our one female cousin would most likely have twins as I’m pretty sure it runs through the female line.
Twins are a result of the girl's genetics, the boy's plays absolutely no part in it.
We have had random sets of twins in our family but there's absolutely no pattern to it as some people have been adopted and other's not so we cannot pinpoint where or when it happens generation wise.
I do know someone who's grandma is an identical twin, mother is an identical twin and she is an identical twin. She has had identical twin children!
