Sleeping pills and pregnancy

I have been an insomniac for over 15 years, and have finally found a sleeping that works - Zolpidem/Ambien/Stillnox

My partner and I are looking at trying to have a baby next year.

I have tried to wean myself of this medication many times over many years without success.

I am concerned about not being able to sleep without this medication, but that if I didn't take it, the affect that no sleep would have on me and the baby.

Looking for advice and experiences from other women who have been in the same situation.

Please no judgement or advice on how to sleep better, believe me I have tried them all :(

Won’t you have to wean yourself off of it before you even get pregnant? This is really something you need to consult a doctor on

Having a baby fixed my insomnia, have hardly had it for 10 years! Have you consulted your doctor to help you wean? This is a necessity.

Stillnox is a terrifyingly drug. My partner was on this medication. I actually thought it's been witdrawn off the market due to horrendous side effects . But if it works for you, make sure u keep check with ur dr.

Hi I work for a program that supports pregnant women who are drug dependent. Not putting you in the same basket at all but there is a number we contact to ask about certain medications when we have a pregnant women in our care. Some gps will give you a black or white answer with no in-between solutions.

1800 022 222 its a pregnancy helpline. It wouldn't hurt to get some advice from them and go from there.
Good luck
