Basically gives permission for the bank to release funds to the beneficiary or any assets in the estate to be released to the beneficiary or next of kin if a beneficiary isn't listed
So we did that form as our father passed away years ago and now his mum just passed but now the executor is saying there’s nothing in the Will for him I’m so confused why we did the forms in the first place if there was nothing there for him
Her will may stipulate only surviving children inherit. I have seen this happen. In my Nan’s case this happened but my dad and his surviving brothers gave my cousins their dads share of my nan’s estate. Legally the way it was worded they didn’t have too.. it’s morally the right thing to do but people’s morals are severely questioned when money’s involved
Thanks for your experience. We have asked to see the Will and the executor is refusing and won’t give us a reason why. People can be so greedy, we don’t want to dispute the will if that’s the case of our father passing nothing is passed to us but we’re just getting no where
