Has anybody HAD to lose weight while pregnant. I have just found out I’m pregnant again but I’m already very over weight. I normally gain 20kgs each pregnancy so if I do the same this time it will take me up to about 150kgs. I will be making an appointment to see my gp and will be asking him. But I’m just wondering how other people have managed to drop the kgs but stay healthy for bubs

Do you gain due to water retention or diet?
Usually with that weight, your ideal gain is minimal, only a couple of kgs. Try to keep active throughout the pregnancy. Swimming, walking etc are all great exercises. Watch the diet and don't fall into the trap of snacking, just because you can 🤷♀️
Btw, I'm a large woman lol. So worked really hard with my last pregnancy to gain min weight.
I gain because I have an autoimmune issue which I’m on medication for BUT the main issue is no/slow metabolism. So even with a fantastic food relationship I still gain and it’s extremely hard to burn off
During my other pregnancies I have been in the Low 70s so that weight gain was fine. But after my last baby I had issues with my medication and have ballooned out.
Maybe check if you can swap medication. Because if its a medicine issue youll never stop putting on weight until you are super morbidly obese one day.
It’s not type of medication it’s the dosage I have to get right. That takes time and a lot of blood test to work out
