Trying for a baby girl

Trying for a baby girl

Hello all!
I am a mum of boys... 3 beautiful boys. Hubby and I are considering having 1 more. I get asked all the time, ‘will you try for a girl?’
Is there actually a way to try for a girl? Have you tried with success? What are the tricks.
I would be so blessed to have a baby boy or girl. I’m just curious... is trying for a certain sex actually a thing?

There are a lot of old wives tales out there about how to gender select from conceiving at certain times, to what you eat, to the ring and chain game. There is no sure way that is accurate.you are just going to have to wait for the gender surprise at the time.

Shettles Method - I got my girl doing it this way! Granted it’s a 50% chance so I can’t guarantee it played a part but after only boys it worked!

Unless you go overseas and pay for gender selection, there is no way you can influence what you will have. 50/50 not matter what “method” you use

Some of the old wives tales we shamelessly used for our second - he had a girl. Hehe 50/50but alas can’t hurt to try.

Lots of sex up to 2-3 days before ovulation then stop. Hehe

I’ve tried this method. I’m having my 4th boy. So it definitely doesn’t work 50% of the time

As the youngest girl of 3 brothers...please don't do this to your daughter lol.

This is so interesting. We have 3 boys are everyone is constantly on our back about having a girl. Going again for a girl. But we are DONE. After years and years of miscarriages, the fact that we have been blessed with healthy children seems to be irrelevant because we don't have one of each.

I have to think about our family dynamics and to me, my boys are my life.

Yep, my mum had 6 girls to a second husband and she kept in going to get that boy. What followed was multiple miscarriages of boy babies, gynecological cancers, and ultimately her death. All because she just wanted that boy that she never did get.

At one point they had tests done and were advised her husbands male sperm were all damaged and he simply could not produce male children. But selfishly, she still kept going, in the end robbing all 9 kids of a mother. All she cared about was getting pregnant again and again till she got what she wanted.

I know this isnt you, but just wanted to share how some women become so fanatically obsessed by it and sometimes it's just not meant to be.

Why can’t women just be happy with a healthy baby instead of trying all these wives tales (that don’t work!) to try and pick a gender? Have you thought that if your not getting a specific gender that maybe there is a good reason for it? Maybe your body can’t carry a certain gender or your partners particular sex sperm isn’t healthy enough to make a healthy child?

I did have a successful gender sway for a baby girl after having 3 boys. You need to create a more acidic environment which is a higher PH.... It aids female sperm. Male sperm thrive in a alkaline environment. Research everything thoroughly there are many blogs and forums out there. The most important thing is a healthy baby so obviously the sex does not matter but some women are more likely to produce male offspring due to their natural ph levels. It's all very interesting!

Yes I tried the method that you track your ovulation , work out the day you ovulate ( there are test kits similar to pregnancy tests that you can get ). Do this for a few months so you know the day you ovulate then do not have sex closer than three days before you ovulate . There’s a book called how to choose the sex of your baby by Dr Shettles.
It worked for me I already had my son and then used this method to have my daughter.
Best of luck and don’t let anyone make you feel bad for wanting to have a certain gender . You would like to experience mothering a daughter and give your boys the experience of having a sister . There is absolute nothing wrong with that .
