Hey gorgeous ladies!! God I need some help!!
My 8yo son is completely obsessed with keeping paper and boxes... he's been nicknamed boxie.. when we talk to him about getting rid of them he breaks down into tears. I am taking him to a paediatrician but dose anyone have any strategies to help me ease the process?

First, what does want them for? Is it craft supplies, he has plans for them, storage, games? Figure that out and that helps a lot. Make him a space and then he needs to decide which ones stay or go to fit in that space. He doesn’t need to get rid of all of them, they’re doing something for him, understand what and make sure he knows you understand and he’ll work with you on some reasonable limits.
Child psychologist will help. My son is like this with his teddies, he is 13 it’s anxiety in him and comfort. He won’t let me throw anything out. I always do it without him knowing but he can always tell when something is missing.
This seems very obsessive compulsive. It could be related to tough times, or even a diagnosis of ASD if there are other related things
