Hi lovelies.
I’m going for a job interview next week. It’s the first time in a long time. It’s for a management position and I’m quite nervous.
I’m a young mum, very work orientated and would really love this job. I have the skills needed, I know this! I made it past the phone interview, so I know they see potential.
My issue is, I was a bit jittery over the phone and had some brain blanks. I absolutely don’t want that in this zoom interview.
What are your tips to get through interviews and own the process?

I would get to know the company, find out their mission statement, what their KPIs are and so forth - then try and find examples of your previous experience that match what they are looking for.
You can ask them to repeat a question and take your time to answer, you don’t have to think on the spot just give yourself time :)
Good luck!
Consider what you might be asked and have notes in front of you with examples. The STAR model works well. (Situation, task, action, result).
Give a situation, explain the task you had, say what actions you took, say what that result was.
Pre-empting questions involves knowing the job... But your phone interview questions should be a hint at what they are wanting
