Its my 12 year olds first year of highschool. Hes absolutely miserable. He has no friends. He says no one likes him. No one wants him to hang out with them. He gets picked on. He hates going to school and asks to stay home every day....
I want to pull him out of the school and get him to try a different one. He doesn't want to. Hes adamant he wants to keep going because he might not make friends at another school either.
I don't know what to do. He had friends in primary school. He went to high school with friends but they've all decided they want nothing to do with him. What would you do? Have you had kids go through similar?

This was my son 6 years ago. He went to the same high school as all his primary friends yet within weeks he was on his own. He was miserable. He struggled with the large amount of year 7 students (over 200) so after one term we pulled him out and sent him to a small private (independent) school. It was the best decision ever. He excelled at the new school both academically and socially and went on to really enjoy his high school years.
Distance education is awesome
