Sweet 16 Birthday

Sweet 16 Birthday

I have a 15 year old daughter who has a disability. She doesn’t have any friends… 😔.
She goes to a special school and overwhelming there are more boys than girls. My daughter is high functioning and probably only 3/4 of her age group. And even then the catch ups we have had just don’t work out. I feel like I have tried so much to help her have friends but I haven’t been able too.

She is turning 16 next year and wants to have a party and invite lots of friends… but she doesn’t have any to invite.
I want to make her birthday super special… what can I do for a sweet 16 that doesn’t need a loaf of people for a party?

Thanks

This is so heartbreaking. Maybe you could list a PO Box and we can send her some birthday cards. I hate that kids go through this. Are you able to get the school to organise a small party at school, so she feels like she has friends there to celebrate her special day.? Maybe surprise her at school with it and get her teachers involved. I hope she had a super special birthday that she deserves. My kids would go if we knew her. This breaks my heart.

Maybe if you can afford to, take her away for a few nights and surprise her for it.

Her dressed up, hire a limo, go out for dinner or book a nice hotel stay.

Spa day or retreat with her mum 🥰

Take her on a special trip just the two of you for a week! If she has one special friend see if that friend could come as well.

Hi, similar story with my daughter and friends. She was homeschooled due to bullying so in reality had no real friends, also no school ball as she didn’t go to school so I combined birthday and ball. She had 2 friends from old school days so I invited them and just some family, I set up a surprise birthday and she knew nothing until she opened her present which was ball dress and shoes , at this stage she still didn’t know and thought it was just for photos . I had a makeup and hair artist come to the house to do her up. Once dressed her 2 friends arrived , she was confused but still thought just photos until she went out the front and the Limo was there to take them out for 2 hours . While away I set up the party with decos and food and family arrived and all was ready when the Limo came back with her and the 2 friends .
