School fund raising

School fund raising

Our community is only small and has a relatively older population or low soci economic demographic. The public school has less than 90 children attend.
Given that it is such a small school, fundraising is proving to be quite difficult, yet the children still require the same resources and opportunities as those in neighboring suburbs(some other local schools have 800 children). The school does not have a hall to hold functions or assemblys nor a library and some class rooms are demountables with no air-conditioning or heating. I have recently joined the P&C and was shocked to hear that some events such as the mothers day stall run at a loss rather than being an opportunity to raise funds.
Please share all your fund raising ideas and methods so I can help our little community and children reach some equality in their education experience.
Thanks!!

Do up a board online with payments from 1 to 100. So $1, $2 all the way up to $100. Everyone can pick a number and pay that and once that's paid that number is crossed off. People can buy as many as they like. Once the board has all been crossed off a number gets drawn and whoever has that number wins a prize (could be something like your child getting an extra 10 minutes of play or getting local businesses to donate small prizes) and keep it rolling over constantly as many times as the school likes. If $100 seems too much the school could go lower like only 1-20 or something. It will cost nothing to set up and can just keep going on indefinitely. I hope that makes sense lol

Your best bet is to apply for grants and subsidies.
You can only fundraise so much from a smaller community.
Hit up your local MP because it’s election time and ask what they can provide for your school (hit them with what you need, like new books resources etc)

When my kids went to a small school like that a lot of donations came from businesses and industry that have an interest in the area or operate from there rather than from fund raising. Look up grants available for schools in your state as well. If you have containers for change in your state set up an account for your school. If you have a bunnings nearby book a sausage sizzle.
